 Faial Island is also known as Blue Island due to the great abundance of blue hydrangea on road sides and in the pasture ground borders.

The
garden -
to play, to rest, to read The cottages Azálea and Faia are in a rural property of 1500 sq m. The previous vegetable gardens were turned into lawns and the orchard recovered to a leisure area. The stone walls were rebuilt and planted hedgerows of cameleer, hibiscus, azaleas, beeches and hydrangeas. Among ornamental plants we highlight, tree ferns, wild pineapples and a dragon-tree. Some of the fruit trees, are orange, banana, plum, peach. The fruit trees are not treated with pesticides. Any fruit can be harvested and taste by our guests.
