Vacation rentals in the Faial island, Azores

It is 4 self catering holiday cottages located in quite rural villages in the southwest side of the island of Faial, in the parish of Capelo. All of them are prepared to receive guests throughout the year.
The Azalea and Faia cottages are, in the village of Areeiro, inside a private area of 1900 m2 and the Urze and Cisterna cottages, in the village of Ribeira do Cabo, in a private piece of land of 2000 m2.

They are traditional houses from the second quarter of the twentieth century, which were in ruins and were recovered keeping the original style, by the present owners. The interior was completely refurbished creating new spaces and adapting the living conditions, maintaining, however, some original traces.
The old vegetable gardens were transformed into terraces and gardens with lawn creating leisure spaces around each house.

Located in a privileged area by the proximity of the Natural Park of Faial, volcano Capelinhos, Varadouro’s tidal pool bathing area and walking trails, have the sea on the horizon and green volcanic mountains around.

It is a beautiful and quietness place to relax and establish a base to explore the beauty of the "Azorean Triangle" - the islands of Faial, Pico and São Jorge and the channels where whales, dolphins and sea birds live. Boats leave from Horta city and there are daily connections with the other two islands.

We are 10 minutes from the airport of Horta and just 2 hours flight from Lisbon.
