Vacation rentals in the Faial island, Azores

Casas do Areeiro have 4 self catering vacation cottages with ocean view, located in the quiet rural village Areeiro in the southwest side of the island of Faial. All of them are prepared to receive guests throughout the year.
Casa da Azalea and Casa da Faia are inside a private property with an area of 1950 m2 and Casa da Cisterna and Casa da Urze in a private piece of land of 2000 m2.

All of them are traditional houses from the second quarter of the twentieth century, which were in ruins and we recovered keeping the original style. The interiors were completely refurbished creating new spaces and adapting the living conditions, maintaining, however, some original traces.
The old vegetable gardens were transformed into terraces and gardens with lawn creating leisure spaces with a fantastic view to the ocean and over viewing the village.

Located in a privileged area by the proximity of the Natural Park of Faial, volcano Capelinhos, Varadouro’s tidal pool bathing area and walking trails, have the sea on the horizon and green volcanic mountains around.

It is a beautiful and quietness place to relax and establish a base to explore the beauty of the "Azorean Triangle" - the islands of Faial, Pico and São Jorge and sail in the sea channels where whales, dolphins and sea birds live.

We are 10 minutes from the airport of Horta and just 2 hours flight from Lisbon. Daily boat connections are available between Faial and the other two islands.
